Are we predisposed to think and feel the way that we do? Think about it, with so many people lining up on the left or the right (some not lining up at all), do we tend to believe what we want to or what we are taught to? We grow up and our environment (family, friends, school, etc...) all puts a little dab of paint on our self portrait. Then as we get older we take the brush in hand and begin to do it to ourselves. We read things that interest us, we listen to people and organizations that we agree with. All that we seem to do supports who we are and where we stand. But any of use has the freedom and ability to change what ever road we are on. We should come to a part of our journey where we say "Yeah I've been right all along" or "Oh my gosh, what have I been doing." I feel that many, sadly, never come to that part of their journey. They never open themselves up other ways of thinking, trapped in their own dogma that says "I'm a liberal" or I'm a conservative". To those that don't open their minds and thoughts to others, I feel truth becomes scewed. They, whoever that is, say that results from research will most likely be determend by what the researcher is looking for, or what he or she wants to find. Isn't it amazing how all the liberal finding come out in liberal media and all the conservative findings come out in conservative media. What is the truth, and where can you find it? This, unfortunately, is a question only you can ask yourself, others can only lead you to their truth. However, I believe that this universe was created with a delicate balance in mind and leaning too far left or right is going to rock the boat, as the saying goes. Search yourself, look for the things that are in balance and see how easy things are when in equilibrium.
